The Springboard Hospitality Sailing Cup

Sunsail is delighted to be once again partnering with The Springboard Charity for the Springboard Hospitality Sailing Cup 2021, *dates TBC, where teams compete against and network with industry peers to raise funds in aid of the charity.

Supporting The Springboard Charity in recent years were brands such The Hilton Park Lane, Jumeriah, Langham Hotels, Amadeus, CH & Co and Hyatt.

The Springboard Hospitality Sailing Cup is a 2-day sailing event, open exclusively to hospitality industry providers and suppliers, combining fun and competitive sailing races with fantastic networking functions.

Entering a team is a great way to raise brand awareness within a relevant industry audience, entertain clients and reward employees. You will have the opportunity to showcase your branding on the yacht, your team clothing and additional sponsorship opportunities are available – please contact us if you would like to know more.

No previous sailing experience is necessary as your entry includes one of our new Sunsail 41.0 yachts, professional skipper and first mate to ensure that even first-timers will have the best possible time on the water.

About the new Sunsail 41.0

In 2020, Sunsail welcomes 15 new Jeanneau racing yachts to its UK fleet. The brand new Sunsail 41.0 is a cutting edge Performance Cruiser/Racer that combines incredible sailing performance with a revolutionary deck and interior design that is unparalleled in the sailing market, and is already a winner of multiple awards and positive test sail reviews. These specially modified yachts are available on a first come, first serve basis.

Itinerary

Sunsail welcomes entries from both new teams and previous competitors. Our charter package for this event includes a fully prepared and equipped yacht with professional, experienced crew who will quite literally show you and your team the ropes, meaning even novice sailors can confidently take part in the racing action.

Dates TBC

09:00     Crew registration at Port Solent Marina

10:00     Head to Yachts for safety brief, followed by morning practice sail

12:00     Lunch on board 

13:00     Racing starts

17:00     Moor up in Cowes Yacht Haven

19:00     Drinks reception at Royal Yacht Squadron, Cowes, followed by regatta dinner

10:00     Day 2 race programme starts with time for lunch on the water

15:30     Return to Port Solent Marina 

16:00     Prizegiving

Entry Prices

The exciting partnership between Sunsail and The Springboard Charity sees the best value for money ever offered to competitors for a hospitality industry sailing event. The price to enter is just £3,624 + VAT for a team of 10 (8 guests, plus skipper and mate).

Giving something back

Competitors are asked to pledge a £500 donation to The Springboard Charity. The Springboard Hospitality Regatta supports this charity, which helps young people achieve their potential through employment within the hospitality industry.

Your donation goes directly to Springboard to help them continue their great work, with further fundraising raffles and auctions offered during the event dinner.
